In 2004, two major hurricanes struck the Florida coastline, home to Ocean Spray’s grapefruit processing operations. Many businesses in the area suffered damage and downtime, and most of the region’s grapefruit crop was lost. However, Ocean Spray’s offices, concentrating facility, attached tank farms and inventory escaped major damage.
