Burton Copeland has launched a dedicated digital forensics facility
Burton Copeland, a Manchester law firm, has launched an on-site digital forensic facility.
The firm said it had become the first law firm to do so in the light of escalating cyber-crime and internet fraud, costing the UK over 20bn a year.
This latest development – Burtons Digital - sees the Manchester-based law firm team up with top computer forensics firm AFENTIS, to offer advice and legal representation to those concerned about, or facing charges, in such diverse areas as computer-based fraud, hacking, terrorism and/or child pornography.
Burton Copeland’s on-site forensic facilities and certified investigative experts will allow the consideration of digital evidence exhibits so as to assist in defence case preparation.
Burtons Digital, which launched this month, will be headed up head of business crime, Mike Rainford.
