Public sector association recognises risk management excellence
The winners in the 2009 Alarm Annual Awards have been announced.
The winning risk managers have demonstrated the ability of risk managers to boost public service performance in these challenging times, said the public sector risk association.
The Awards are given in recognition of excellence in the management of people risk, asset risk, operational risk, and strategic risk in the public services.
One outstanding individual is awarded the title of ‘Risk Manager of the Year’ and the most promising risk practitioner under 35 is named ‘Risk Management Young Achiever of the Year’.
The winners received their accolades at the Alarm Annual Awards Dinner, which took in Bournemouth on June 21.
Alarm CEO, Dr Lynn Drennan said: ‘Once again, entries to the Awards scheme have shown how imaginative and innovative public service organizations can be when managing complex public risks. We also had a strong field of candidates for the Risk Manager of the Year award, and the new category of Risk Management Young Achiever of the Year, both of which highlight the impact that a single individual can have in promoting and developing risk management within their organization, and beyond.’
