Adopts software to help detect suspicious transactions
The Dutch financial regulator, Autoriteit Finanicële Markten (AFM), has deployed surveillance software to monitor its markets for illegal trading activity.
AFM, which was established in March 2002 to monitor the Dutch financial market, chose the Actimize Market Abuse Solution to help it detect suspicious transactions.
The Actimize Market Abuse Solution monitors transactions and automatically distributes alerts.
Actimize said: ‘Market Abuse has become more difficult to detect over the last few years, due to the increasing complexity of financial instruments.’
