Visualising the results

Britain’s banks bounced back into profit with strong figures recently.

The Guardian’s Datablog visualised the results. RBS announced pre-tax profits of £1.1bn. Barclays smashed forecasts with profits of £3.9bn. Lloyds Banking Group posted first half profits of £1.6bn. HSBC said first half profits were £7bn.
