Control Risks released its annual Risk Map that analyses the critical risks facing multinationals in the year ahead.
The 2011 report highlights that increasingly aggressive anti-corruption enforcement by authorities in the US (such as techniques like entrapment) and the UK when the Bribery Act comes into effect next spring—it is described by Control Risks as the US regime “on steroids”. Other key risks to manage are a re-ordering of geopolitical influence and intensifying urbanisation in emerging markets.
