Broker expands this division with new appoints to its international management liability team
Lockton has appointed Michael Lea, Ian Nichol and Jo Newman to its international management liability (IML) team, which forms part of its wider financial risks practice.
Lea was previously head of JLT’s management liability team and a founding member of the financial and professional risks division. He has more than 27 years of experience and has advised on corporate governance, D&O liability, crime risks and related issues.
Nichol is a D&O risk specialist, with 27 years of experience. Previously a partner within JLT’s financial risks division, he has experience with handling large, complex D&O claims and has worked with FTSE-listed and international companies across a range of industries.
Newman has 25 years of experience and has a particular focus on management liability risks, including D&O, employment practices and pension trust liability, primarily for major UK and European companies.
Board member Neil Nimmo said: “As businesses become more global and supply chains extend across multiple jurisdictions, management liability crosses borders in a way it never did before.
“Clients want us to meet and manage their global exposures, Michael, Ian and Jo’s collective international expertise complements Lockton’s existing IML team perfectly. The team’s remit is to grow Lockton’s portfolio of major UK, European and international D&O clients, as well as augment our current service to our retail accounts.”
