Martínez García awarded Certificate in Risk Governance

The DCRO Institute has awarded a Certificate in Risk Governance to Cristina Martínez García. She is the first candidate from Spain to earn this distinction.

As the concept of risk is more fluid than ever, a Qualified Risk Director in the boardroom can help companies to bring a unique perspective to the strategic dialog among the group,” she said.

Martínez García serves as the group chief risk officer for SACYR, a global group dealing in infrastructure development, project management, and services. She is the former chief risk officer for both Campofrio Food Group and Iberia Airlines and also serves on the Federation of European Risk Management Associations and the Spanish Risk Management Association board of directors.

She is also a faculty member of the DCRO Institute, where she teaches resiliency and business continuity.

The Certificate in Risk Governance is designed for current and aspiring board members who seek to advance the governance of risk-taking at their organisations and those who interact with boards.
