AIRMIC’s new chief executive John Hurrell has held the first of his planned round tables for members, an experience that he described as very useful. The round tables are intended to encourage less active members to express their views about the association.
Hurrell commented, ‘The people who attended were pleased to be AIRMIC members and positive about the services we provide, but they hadn’t come just to praise us. There are things we can do better.’
Among them is communication. He said, ‘It’s clear we need to look again at the way we communicate. People did not know about, or were only vaguely aware of things we were doing and events we were holding.
