Programme intended for non risk professionals
The Professional Risk Managers’ International Association (PRMIA) has launched the Associate Professional Risk Manager (Associate PRM) certificate.
The certificate is intended for staff entering the risk management profession, or those who work with risk management on a regular basis, such as auditing, accounting, and legal departments, and who want to understand risk management methods and practices.
Less mathematically and theoretically detailed than PRMIA’s Professional Risk Manager (PRM) designation, the new program will cover the core concepts of risk management.
PRMIA said: ‘Until now, there has been no exam in the risk industry designed for those who are not risk management professionals but who need to work with the discipline to create the needed risk culture within an organization. The Associate PRM fills that gap.’
Much of the syllabus is based on The Essentials of Risk Management, by Michel Crouhy, Dan Galai, and Robert Mark.
