A study of European businesses found that only 10% believe they are well prepared for extreme weather as a result of climate change
Furthermore, 16 % of the companies said they would not be taking any action to fight climate change. However, a third said they would be cutting down on power consumption.
The study was carried out by Amsterdam, Netherlands-based credit insurer Atradius.
Shaun Purrington, regional director of Atradius UK and Ireland said: ‘Despite a quarter of European firms suffering due to extreme weather conditions over the past year, it seems the perception that ‘climate change does not pose a serious threat to their business’ remains.
