The occupational health team at Centrica will manage two employee wellness programmes, both of which aim to improve the overall well-being and fitness of the company's employees, but at different stages of their lives. The first programme will encourage new recruits to the company to lead healthier lives, while the second will focus on long-standing employees who have health problems and help them to make a full recovery.
Jo Hoban, the occupational health operations manager at Centrica/British Gas who is responsible for the programme, comments: "Our people are our most valuable asset. We want to support and improve the health and wellness of our employees, not only when they fall ill or are injured, but proactively as well.
"With these programmes we are raising awareness of the importance of fitness, nutrition and relaxation, and we are helping to create an environment where employees have all the professional support they need to live healthier and more rewarding lives."
