New York insurance regulators have appointed investment bank advisers to help sort out the mess around AIG.
Centerview Partners will advise the New York Insurance Department on the potential sale of some of AIG’s units.
Any significant transaction affecting an AIG insurance company, including any sale, will need approval from state regulators.
