Workers that come into contact with a chemical used in rubber production are at high risk of developing cancer, new research revealed
A chemical used in the production of rubber could cause cancer in workers regularly exposed to it, research revealed.
Researchers from the University of Birmingham revealed that workers at a Welsh industrial site were twice as likely to die of intestine and bowel cancer if they came into contact with MBT, according to the BBC News website.
The researchers warned: ‘Perhaps MBT should be handled with increased care as it may be a human carcinogen.’
