Hires two senior underwriters
HCC Global Financial Products (HCC Global) has hired two London market practitioners.
The company, a subsidiary of HCC Insurance Holdings, said the hires would assist growth and help it pursue new business.
Malcolm Nightingale rejoined HCC Global’s London office as vice chairman of underwriting. Nightingale was previously chief underwriting officer of HCC Global’s UK operations.
Adam Barker joined as general and underwriting counsel for the UK. For the last 17 years Barker has managed Sedgwick Detert Moran & Arnold's London office. He specialises in financial lines insurance and has handled insurance claims arising from major corporate scandals.
‘There are many opportunities for us at the moment and Malcolm and Adam will provide HCC with the resources to profitably expand our international operations. I have worked closely with both of them for the last 10 years and am very excited by the prospect of Adam coming on board and Malcolm coming back to us in his new capacity, said HCC Global’s chief executive officer Matthew Fairfield.
