The board of the Risk Management Institution of Australasia appoints Grant Whitehorn as president.
The board of the Risk Management Institution of Australasia Ltd (RMIA) has appointed Grant Whitehorn as president.
Former president Kevin Knight has stepped down to allow him more time to focus on his work with Standards Australia and the International Organisation for Standardisation where he has been active for many years in developing risk management standards.
Whitehorn is director of enterprise risk management with the Department of Defence, Canberra. He thanked Knight for his dedicated work as president and said he was delighted Knight would continue as an RMIA director.
"I am honoured to be asked by my fellow directors to lead RMIA as we take the organisation forward in line with our corporate strategy," Mr Whitehorn said.
