Engine and oil leakage problems to blame for product recall
Jaguar Land Rover is to recall 11,852 vehicles in China as a result of possible oil leakage problems, reports suggest.
China’s General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine released a statement stating that 3,196 Jaguar XF models made between July 2012 and May 2013, and XJs produced between March 2012 and May 2013, would be recalled as a result of potential engine problems.
The firm will also recall 8,656 Range Rover Auroras and Land Rover Freelander 2 models built between January 2012 and June 2013 to investigate possible oil leakage problems, the watchdog said.
The car maker said in a statement: “Following a thorough and detailed engineering investigation, Jaguar Land Rover has taken the decision to voluntarily recall all potentially affected vehicles.”
