The UK Institute of Risk Management (IRM) and the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) are offering a new training course for managers. Following Turnbull, the two organisations believe managers need risk management skills to inform the annual review of their organisations' internal control.
The course, "Managing Risk", is modular based and aims to provide a broad based understanding of the principles for managing and reporting risk, including the latest tools and techniques. It is aimed at directors and senior managers who are responsible for implementing effective corporate governance systems, managers with health and safety responsibilities, insurance managers and brokers, and internal auditors.
IRM/IOSH award certificates to those who successfully complete the four day course, which is delivered by IRM licensed training providers. The modules are:
