The AIRMIC conference is not just about networking with your peers
The exhibition gives a useful guide to the services and products that can help you manage your risks better. Today and tomorrow, AIRMIC Daily looks at some of the exhibitors.
DON’T MISS THIS PHOTO OPPORTUNITY!
Delegates are invited to visit Zurich on stand 28 at AIRMIC this year to see and photograph the William Webb Ellis Trophy, better known as the Rugby World Cup.
As part of the RFU’s Sweet Chariot Tour, Zurich will have the William Webb Ellis Trophy on display today and delegates will have the opportunity to have their photo taken with the trophy - so don’t forget to bring a camera!
The Web Ellis Trophy is accompanied by two security guards at all times and is never let out of their sight. It is transported in a highly secure box and is fully insured against theft and damage. It will be displayed on the stand in a perspex box and to avoid risk of damage, delegates will be unable to touch the trophy.
At AIRMIC this year, Zurich London will also be revealing results of new research into the attitudes of business continuity professionals in FTSE 500 companies to business resilience and in particular what they think of their company’s ability to recover from a major interruption to its core activity.

MYRISK AND THE RISK RUN CHALLENGE
FM Global’s stand this year has two main features. The first is a preview of the newly updated client portal MyRisk. This is a dedicated client interface to allow risk managers to view the latest risk management information on-line to assist with their risk management planning and decision making.
The features of MyRisk include up-to-the-minute severe global weather information, clear presentation of client specific risk quality data and access to many of FM Global’s loss prevention resources.
The Risk Run Challenge will also take place, asking attendees if they understand the hazards found in various scenarios and to determine the best solutions. Prizes will be awarded for the daily winners.
STRESSED OUT WITH MARSH?
The Marsh stand this year focuses around stress! According to Marsh’s human capital risk specialist Barbara Dahill, simple solutions like ensuring that they have the necessary insurance cover in place - employers liability insurance, employment practice insurance and healthcare insurance - will help to protect businesses and workers if stress becomes an issue. However, the companies that have established a policy and strategy for managing the risk of stress in the work place, and have a deeper understanding of its cause and effect, will be the real winners.
Marsh invites delegates to take part in its fun quiz and answer some questions on stress.
