AIG ups its game for the AMRAE conference
Former New Zealand rugby All Blacks captain Anton Oliver was a highlight attraction at this year’s Les Rencontres AMRAE conference.
Oliver signed 700 miniature rugby balls for enthusiasts, and was brought to the event by AIG who had a larger presence at this year’s conference.
AIG France general manager Kelly Lyles said: “I was blown away by the popularity of the event.”
AIG sponsors the All Blacks (and also the US rugby team).
“It’s great to be at the AMRAE conference again,” Lyles said. “We’ve always been here, of course, but with our rebranding we decided to increase our presence.”
This year, Lyles said she noticed that multi-national companies with overseas subsidiaries were especially interested in emerging risks, particular cyber and environmental risk.
Among the mid-market multi-national companies, Lyles believes many are now buying insurance centrally rather than locally.
“There is also a lot more innovation on the horizon,” she said.
