New research looks at the dangers every business user faces when dealing with documents
The report from Workshare finds that there is:
- Massive exposure: up to 75% of business documents contain legally sensitive information
- Ignorance of risk - 90% of business users have no awareness of the hidden information in amended documents
- Gaps: 60% of document content goes missing, on the way to the final version, creating gaps in the audit trail
- Administrative overload: amending and approving documents via email is considered a greater burden than spam,
- Amendment hell: professionals spend on average 2.5 hours dealing with emailed document attachments
- Lack of faith in technology: 82% of business users still prefer to use hard copy in complex approval processes.
