More than 500 people are expected to attend
Alarm, the public risk management association, is holding its 2009 conference in Bournemouth from June 21 to June 23. More than 500 people are expected to attend.
The agenda will look at the impact on the public sector of existing and emerging risks and ways for public services to get a step ahead.
For the first time the conference will include a business continuity management (BCM) track. The organisation said this reflects the important role played by BCM in the operation of public services during emergencies.
Alarm’s keynote speakers for 2009 include: Roger Flynn, former director and CEO of Virgin, British Airways, Prudential and the BBC, Caspar Berry, actor, screenwriter and champion poker player, and John Kirkpatrick director of policy, research and studies at the audit commission.
The Alarm Annual Awards 2009 will be presented to the UK’s top public risk managers on June 22.
