AIRMIC is offering free trial membership to company secretaries as part of a drive to bring the benefits of the association to a wider range of businesses and managers through an agreement with the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA).
Although the association already has a very high proportion of the UK’s risk and insurance managers among its members, but there are many other executives who have responsibility for managing risk and significant risk issues in their companies but who don’t have the risk management title, such as company secretaries.
AIRMIC membership doesn’t currently penetrate very far into this group, according to John Hurrell, but he believes they would gain from joining. “The value of AIRMIC is not just the work that technical director Paul Hopkin and I do but what other members are doing and getting access to that body of knowledge.”
