For the first time in AIRMIC's history the mantle of AIRMIC chairmanship will be handed over at conference. Mark Butterworth is set to hand-over the official chain of office to Alan Fleming, currently the AIRMIC deputy chairman, on June 7 during the afternoon plenary session. Alan, with his extensive risk management experience and involvement with AIRMIC, will provide an extremely capable successor.
Alan Fleming is head of insurance and risk management at Railtrack and previously worked for ICI, Guinness and Diageo. For AIRMIC, Alan played a leading role in establishing Pool Re terrorism cover and from 1993 -1995 took on the role of AIRMIC executive director.
