Jorge Luzzi replaces Franck Baron who has joined AXA Corporate Solutions
Jorge Luzzi, Worldwide Director of the Risk Management Department for the Italian based industrial group Pirelli, has been appointed as a member of the board of the Federation of European Risk Management Associations (FERMA).
Luzzi is a member of the Italian risk management association ANRA, and he is currently President of the International Federation of Risk and Insurance Associations (IFRIMA).
Luzzi began his career in insurance and risk management in 1971 and before joining Pirelli he worked for a number of companies, including Deutsche Bank, Marsh & McLennan and Ciba Geigy (Novartis). His career has taken him to Switzerland, Spain, Argentina, Brazil, Bermuda, Ireland and Italy. He is a member of the US Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS), and in 2002 received the prestigious RIMS Goodell Award for lifetime achievement in the field.
Luzzi replaces Franck Baron on the board of FERMA. Baron has joined Axa Corporate Solutions where he is responsible for business development of risk engineering, consulting and servicing activities within Europe. He is continuing as chairman of the organising committee for FERMA’s biannual Forum which will take place in Prague on 4 to 7 October 2009.
Pirelli is the multinational tyre manufacturer which has recently diversified into property, photonics, broadband access, and environmental products.
