Forms Bowring Marsh as its specialist placement broker for property and casualty risks
Marsh formed Bowring Marsh as its specialist international placement broker for property (including terrorism) and casualty risks.
The name Bowring derives from C T Bowring, one of the first brokers at Lloyd’s, which was bought by Marsh in 1980.
Mark Gregory, currently UK head of Marsh’s Global Placement operations, will be chief executive of Bowring Marsh, reporting to Alexander Moczarski, president of the International Division of Marsh.
Bowring Marsh will have teams in Bermuda, Dublin, London, Miami, Singapore and Zurich.
Dan Glaser, chairman and chief executive of Marsh said: ‘In establishing Bowring Marsh, we are responding to our clients’ growing needs and to marketplace opportunities.’
Gregory said: ‘With teams located in each of the existing and emerging market hubs, yet united within one seamless organisation, Bowring Marsh will be able to negotiate face-to-face with markets across the globe to achieve the best results for our clients.’
